(remember >that i wouldn't touch anything fusion with a ten foot pole.) To add yet another opinion on _Programmed_ - I wouldn't call it jazz, per se. As others have mentioned, it is neither Jenkinson or Tobin, but its own monster. It is definitely a recording that takes a while to get used to. Play it loud and play it often, and you'll hear that it is a worthwhile album - a classic, no, but nonetheless a very impressive one. Strangely, "Bug in the Bassbin" sounds like the weakest track to me. It just doesn't fit with all the other sounds. But the version of "At Les" is even more beautiful than the Revolutionary Food one. And that's too bad about the fusion. I think almost as many crap records have been recorded under the electronic tag as have fusion (with the main difference that I keep buying the electronic ones - oh well). To continue in this general audio vicinity, Squarepusher's previous two releases (_Music is Rotted ..._ and _Budakhan Mindphone_) strike me as better and better and more and more developed each time I listen to them. The early criticism of these strikes me as hasty (of course, I listen to these two mostly as background music, so maybe that's why I like them).
