howdy from texas! However, I'm in Memphis right now visiting my wife's family and very much looking forward to going back to austin on saturday. Oh, this morning my wife found out she is pregnant! Anyway, while in Memphis I decided to look for some usefull analogs. The first place I looked was "consignment music" which sometimes carries old keys and such. This time they had an OB-8 w/ midi and a tama tabletop drum brain deal with four sounds on it. nothing that really impressed me. The next day I returned just for the hell of it and they had just gotten an arp 2600 in! Although it had a homemade sign on it proclaiming that it was the "the holy grail" it was not in the best shape. When they worked, the ocillators warbled and the last played note would stick nomatter what I set the envelopes on. The funny part is that it was priced at $3,445! Maybe they actually DO think that jesus drank out of this thing. My lovely wife took a picture of me playing "the grail". At the pawnshop next door they had a jupiter 6 covered with dust and priced at $999. As absurd as all this is it was very fun for me; because I never see stuff like this for sale in Austin I never have the chance to test drive it. Anyway, I am dying to find a roland system 100m for sale- I have wanted one ever since I saw the sexy color photo of one in the vintage synth book but never could afford one. But now I have some cash from working at a blue print shop and selling some items I had so let me know if you know anyone who knows someone who has one for sale!~brian.
