>Pole, _CD1_ >Slotek, _Hydrophonic_ (I think) >Pimp Daddy Nash, _Private Leftfield (somethin' somethin')_ >a Superstition/Sm:)e comp, _Very Superstitious_ that had some L.S.G. >tracks >an inexpensive 3XCD from Superstition, _Best of Vol. 5_ >and the dark horse pick, an On-U Sound 3XCD "box set" that's on the >worst label around, Cleopatra. uh, not familiar with the last three but... if you're basing your interest in Slotek's Hydrophonic on the first record, don't. Because they're very different - Hydrophonic is much more dirty hip hop, much less twisty dub. Like the Spectre records. In fact, almost exactly like them (he does production for slotek). Personally I like Spectre's Second Coming better than Hydrophonic. The pole cd is very spotty and pretty boring in places - 2 is far more consistent but nothing on it is 1/2 as good as the first track on 1. 2 is also, as has been mentioned a lot here, much more recognizable as "dub" in its own very private way. --- the humble abbott arthur purvis set his hand hereto
