The systems described were Serge, EMS, and Doepfer. The article sparked a little interest so I tried contact Doepfer. On and off for about 6 months I tried reaching them at their US #, which was also being printed with an ad in the back of EM. Nobody ever answered the phone. For six months. Talk about a shoddy operation. I wouldn't jump to discredit analogue systems and the RS just becuase of limited distribution. Doepfer has quite a bit of respect in the field, and I believe that analogue systems can do the same. After all they are both offering affordable professional modular systems. What more could we ask for? Jason B.
