yeah we talked about this a while back, and concluded that although the
metal boxes are cool, they are not a successful design. I have had 2 CD's
crack, but fortunately I discovered this before the crack spread into the
music part of the discs. The problem is not so much removing the CD's
properly as it is if the metal boxes ever become warped (from carrying it
in a bag or something), well metal is stronger I guess and the CD will
slightly warp as well, and over time will eventually crack. 

I keep all my BC/CR box CD's loose inside the case...
