The aphexweb I was referring to is a web page not a mailing list. It is
located at :

They have regular news updates and a good sense of humor (I used the
word "bastard" in a nice way last time)

As far as describing Roni Size's style of music, it's an organic blend
of drum n' bass with many soulful elements. Heavily jazz influenced and
he often uses "divaesque" female vocals in his songs.

I was part of a conference call put on by Mercury with Roni a couple of
weeks back during that Miami conference and I got to ask him a couple of
questions. He was super friendly to everyone (all 30-40 of us). I asked
him about the Adam F album and then about his opinion of Warp artists
like Squarepusher. To that question he responded very positively. He
said something along the lines of "I don't know what drugs that mate
takes man, but he has some fucked up tunes. How does he cut up those
beats like that." He also said that if I liked Squarepusher that I would
shit if I heard the Nobukazu Takemura full length who also contributed a
remix of "Brown Paper Bag." About his future he said that he was very
interested in working with America rappers and vocalists as evidenced by
his projects with En Vogue and Redman. He said his dream collaboration
would be with famous producer/musician Quincy Jones. On the topic of
new releases he said that there would be none out this year exclusively
as "Roni Size", but that he considers any album put out by any of the
members of Reprazent as a new album for him as well. He really
emphasized that the new Krust album that will come out this year will be
awesome.

ario.
