well it's just that guitar solos on techno tracks kind of spoils it for some
people, same with vocals.  personally i love vocals, but i've always thought
that certain tracks that should have been great (cybotron, and half the
egyptian lover lp!!) were a bit hard to listen to because of 'creative
stylings on guitar' :-)

but i love guitars - i just don't think they fit in certain situations.  i
mean you wouldn't have flamenco in an autechre track. (though if they are
reading, try it out...)

i always thought evolution was one of the most experimental detroit tracks..
though there is some confusion over which track 'evolution' actually is..
though my bfc lists that track as 'it's a shame' it's called evolution on
the relics cd and it's the one kenny larkin ripped off in a major way on his
'nocturnal' track
