Generally speaking earplugs are probably a good idea at a loud show...means you can live to hear another day. I forgot mine on friday and found that there were definately enough sweet spots where you could hear well with a lot of range and not have you ears bleed. I think the "unwanted distortion" might have actually been intentional noize. Quote of the night: David Kristian and I hanging on the side of the stage..we were discusin' the hilarity of the poor Dereck Carter fans tryin' to bust a move to Ae's set...Dave says..."This is great..The kids keep getting excited each time a constant beat gets going...they're thinking, at least it's not like that wierd Kristian shit..then two seconds later they realize...oh fuck it's just like that kristian crap...(starts laughing gleefully).
