> My intuition was that I'd need, as a minimum, a 6HU suitcase plus A110 > (VCO) x 2, A120 (LPF), A123 (HPF), A131 (VCA), A140 (EG) x 2, A145 > (LFO) x 2, A115 (NG), A138b. Have I made any glaringly obvious > mistakes or missed anything essential? And what's a good CV/Gate > keyboard to use with all this? Lastly does anyone have any of these to > sell (I'm based in the UK)? I don't mind the A110, it will get the job done, but it is a very basic VCO, there are a lot of more sonically interesting ones on the market No real reason to buy 2 A145s, I think conceptually it's kind of lame to have a modular with no control voltage on the LFO. You should at least get a second different LFO if you want 2 LFOs As for a gate/CV keyboard, no one has actually manufactured a native CV keyboard since the early 1980s. The couple out there are really MIDI keyboards with a CV converter inside the box. Not necessarily bad but a lot of people think they want something special they will get with one. You might want to do the same thing with a MIDI keyboard you have and an external converter.
