(blantant self promotion alert in effect) Just wanted to shout out to anyone that might be interested- I have recently reissued the below in CDR format. Here is the description blurb that is being used by distributors: ReSource: Instrumental The instruments used for this project were a "interactively crosswired" Casio SK-1, a broken Gemini DS-824 DJ sampler, an "interactively crosswired" old Yamaha drum machine, an Arp 2600 synth, a microwaved cd and cd player, and a steam radiator. Packaging is a bit more refined than the first edition, but still basic, using photocopied found photo material and "scratch typeset". The music ranges from minimal layered percusive loops that mutate, to noisey melodic excursions, to deep ambience, to drum tracks and sample loops deconstructed into tones, noise, and textures, etc... The overall sound is of primitive/lo-fi electronic deconstructions and reconstructions. "My intention throughout most of the project was to find novel sounds and transformations from mundane sources and process..." Originally titled Instrumental: ReSource in the first edition of 10 hand numbered CDR copies, this is the second repackaged unlimited edition, retitled ReSource: Instrumental. To draw a few parallels, if you dig the lofi electronic excursions ala Mego stuff or some of the tracks on the recent Bleep Bloop comp or some selective stuff on Vinyl Communications even, then I dare say you would have a good chance of enjoying ~Instrumental~... Anyhow, if any of this grabs your interest, please get in touch with me privately at: xxxxxxxxxx@xxx.xxx ReSource: Instrumental is $10 + shipping. Im also happily willing to consider trades... thanks for your attention (plug alert over and out)
