I mentioned this release earlier this week i think.. well it finally made its way to my doorstep, and i'm just beginning to absorb the drenching dub/techno/experimental electronics on this release. Lots of similar "pole" sounds, as far as the manipulated effects are concerned, but there all loads of direct and to straight to your head techno- dub elements floating on this debut longplay release much in line with Suction, and Chain Reaction. I highly anticipate that this one will "rock your boat" come November 29. The ~scape label, if you're not already aware, is Stephen Betke's label. This being their second release.. "Modern City Dub" direct from Berlin, and from the confines of Kit Clayton's home in San Francisco.. "nek sanalet" pushes the limits of dub/electronica to a whole other region. And as the press details clearly explain: "Music is a means to remember the past, to foresee the shape of things to come, and to understand what is happening at present." I'd have to agree with those thoughts, and add the fact that Kit Clayton not only design's nice sounds, but is able to unfold them in the most unique manner. I'm sure that after several listens, you'll be thoroughly impressed with Kit's latest output. kit clayton : nek sanalet ~scape 002 cd/dbl12" tracks are: 1- nuchu 2- purpakana 3- kalu 4- aspoket 5- nele 6- nia-ikala 7- surba 8- inapiseptili Pietro. ___________________________________________ p i e t r o d a s a c c o a u d i o - n i m b u s 9745 lynngrove cr, windsor, ontario, n8r 1b8, canada http://www.rain.org/~audio/grooves/ grooves experimental electronics music mag
