You'll need a specially made converter cable to trigger the ems vcs3
from an sh101, because the sh101 outputs a 15 volts gate and the vcs3
accepts only a 4 volts gate to trigger its envelope.

Btw, there is a guy who makes these kind of cables for the vcs3 and aks.
I bouhgt two of them for my vcs3 mk1's.

If you use the keyboards own oscillator it tracks perfectly. The trouble
starts when you try to control the Putneys oscillators which usually
works only for an octave or two, and you keep adjusting the voltage
input on the putney. Definitely fun and strange though melodies aren=B4t
EMS strong point.
If you have an SH101 lying around it makes an excellent controller,
better than my DK2 as it seems to put out an unusually strong firm
signal. However you will need a 1/8 ->EMS Jones converter to be able to
do something like that.
