I talked to Laurie (Elby Designs) has been cool about helping me price out
some racks and gave me some good options on reducing overall costs. However,
I came to the conclusion that a used Doepfer G6 would be the least hassle
and best price for what I need at this point.

The real killer is not the case but the power supplies and distribution
boards. Doesn't matter too much if you buy from Elby (and have toa ssemble
yourself and wire an IAC jack) or get a completed Doepfer psu2. These are
both very expensive for linear power supplies imho.
