my 2c --

i moved to a 6' tall MA rack because i literally didn't have space
for my gear otherwise. so far, i've not looked back. i put stuff that
i use all the time (oscs, envs, filters, etc) in the sweetspot for
tweaking while sitting down, and stuff that needs only infrequent
tweaking or is remote controlled (preamps, midi interface, sampler)
at the bottom.

in theory i would like multiple desk-height sloping control surfaces
for the modular, but in practice, while the ergs are nice, the cable
situation is really messy.

i did originally think about arranging the modular functionally in
10U rack boxes, which would be fairly easy to transport, but i doubt
it will actually do any travelling beyond subsets of it maybe going
to AHBA etc.

for now the tall rack works fine and if/when my modular grows i'll
most likely get another one.
