Thanks for the advice everyone.

I was afraid someone would make a compelling case for Silent Way =85 afraid
because I must admit to finding it a tad daunting. Nevertheless I can see
how powerful a tool it can be once set-up properly.

I think for now I'll get the Kenton Pro Solo MkII, because it seems
reliable, inexpensive (relatively), and immediate. At some point however I
will take your advice Paul and give Silent Way a proper go - I'm sure it
will be worth the initial cost and set-up with its accuracy and
flexibility.
