Hi all=2C

In case your interested=2C a few years ago when I was making 4-note polypho=
nic music with my modular=2C I used a MOTU 2408 MkII as an ADAT to CV conve=
rter=2C and then built a wee 1U rack module that amplified those 8 CVs to g=
ive them a full range and presented them on the front panel with the modula=
r. I also wrote a small vst MIDI plugin which took the music events and di=
stributed them out to 4 instances of the Silent Way voice plugin which woul=
d send the tuned pitch and VCA envelope CVs out to the modules.=20

Gives a very interesting flavour to the playing when each note is coming fr=
om different kinds of oscillator and VCA circuits.=20

I do analog polyphonic modular soundcreation quite rarely. If I want to=20
do something like that I prefer the handling in my Nord Modular.
=20
Nevertheless I have two interfaces=2C which can do that:
=20
One is the Harms Mac 16=2C which provides software based ADSRs and LFOs=3B=
=20
so you need "only" the audio modules (VCO/VCF/VCA). It is ok=2C but the=20
parameter handling of four voices in this menue is quite intricate.
=20
The other is an EES MIDI-CV7. It does KCV=2C Gate and can do a software=20
LFO. I have a Doepfer A-142-4 Quad Decay for the Filters and a A-143-2=20
Quad ADSR for the VCAs.
