Quite expensive too, dont you think ? Did you ever tried to save the
MAQ16/3 sequences to a software sequencer via midi ? I failed ... it wasnt
sounding correctly when played back with cubase.

Anyway, if you want to get an idea of what a maq16/3 is capable of, try the
SEQ-303 v2 software, same concept, without cv/gate ;-)
It's shareware and you can have multiple copies running at the same time.
