Re: [AH] Best Modular Company?

I suspect that 'best of' over that list of items might
be distributed across several of the vendors named.
I've just purchased an Analogue Systems 8500x, and am pretty
pleased with it -- although there are weird shortcomings.
I intend to invest in a batch of Doepfer gear as well,
in part to address some of the shortcomings of the AS
(no trigger delays? good grief!) I've given some
serious thought to a few of the MOTM modules, a Wiard
is on the drool list (as is a Serge of 3 or 4 panels).
Don't overlook Blacet, either, as he's got some good
stuff, more like the Doepfer/AS form factor than the
MOTM, although he discusses how his modules might be
mounted within a MOTM setup.

FWIW, build quality on the AS is very high, sound quality
is very good, value is entirely subjective ;-), customer
service has been quite good, both from En-Port (the US
distributor) and AS directly.
